Colombian music performer and Instructor. Has performed and recorded with various artist such as: La Cumbiamba NY(artistic director), Marc Ribot (ceramic dog 2008 CD), Dan Zanes(new york 2008 CD), Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto(2007 Latin Grammy winner CD), Lucia Pulido(Palenque CD), Leo Blanco(2008 CD), Sebastian Cruz's(COBA & cancion mandala cd's), Harold Gutierrez and Mestizo(2006 Cd), Maquina Mono(06,08 CDs),Shiko Mawatu(Sukus artist,Congo), Pablo Mayor's Folklore Urbano, Samuel Torres Group, Edmar Castaneda, Ricardo Gallo, Hector Martignon etc... Has participated in several Theater shows and musicals with companies like the Great Jones Repertoire of La MAMA (Ellen Stwart), Teatro Circulo, Fua d'Congo (congolese dance troupe), Grupo Artificio and Teatro SEA. Currently working as a teaching artist for LEAP and USNY at NYC Public Schools. Director of the Brooklyn/Queens Gaitas y Tambores workshop every Saturday (when in town) at www.terrazacafe.com in Queens,4pm. Instrument making. Plays drumset, hand percussion, colombian flutes. |
